The Dry Cut
Haircuts designed to air dry, cut the way you wear your hair.

How I work
I cut hair dry. If you wear your hair straight, I blow it smooth first. If you wear it curly or wavy, I wash and diffuse it, then cut your natural texture. Either way, I cut your hair the way you wear it, so you see every change as it happens.
I came to this work because I wanted haircuts to fit the lives people live. Every layer has a job. When you can see where a layer starts and stops, the cut needs more work. A seamless cut air dries well, and that is my goal for every client.
Before the scissors come out, we talk. I look at your hair, your last few cuts, and your week. Many clients arrive with thin ends from a long cut in the back or heavy spots behind the ears. I balance the density through the whole shape, so your cut sits right when you style it yourself in a few minutes.
My clients run businesses, lead teams, and manage family calendars. They want one haircut that holds up from a morning workout to a meeting to dinner, and they want it to look the same on Tuesday as it did in my chair.
I have cut and styled hair in San Francisco since 2013, and I work on editorial shoots, campaigns, and runways. I also have a background in data analysis and I am building a career in product management. Every client conversation works like a user interview. I listen for the problem, design the solution, and check that it works after you leave.
How a cut works
1. Consult. We talk about your hair, your last few cuts, and your week.
2. Prep. If you wear your hair straight, I blow it smooth. If you wear it curly or wavy, I wash and diffuse it so I can cut its natural shape.
3. Dry cut. I cut your hair dry, the way you wear it. You see the length and shape form as I work, and you can put your hands in your hair along the way.
4. Style lesson. I show you how to style the cut at home, so it air dries into place.
Who it suits
Some people love the wash, the wet cut, and the blowout at the end of a salon visit. If that is your favorite part, a traditional salon will give you that. I start with the prep and cut your hair dry, and many clients enjoy seeing the cut take shape.
